Canon 70D - Fixing no power to camera
Recently, I had an issue where my camera was loosing power, or wouldn't turn on. After doing some research, I found this super easy fix, and should work on most Canon cameras (Mine is a 70D).
First off, you want to make sure your battery is charged. If your still having issues with it turning on, shutting off randomly while shooting, or loosing power, then it is possible that your breaker between the camera body and battery accidentally got turned off.
To fix this, you want to open the battery cover, and there will be a small whole with a small plastic switch. The plastic switch should be in the center of the small whole. If it's not there, you will want to get something small to move it with, such as a small screwdriver or pen tip.
If you are facing the front (Lens side) of the camera body, you'll want to move the switch all the way to the right, or until it clicks. After that, your camera should turn back on!
If your camera doesn't turn back on though, another tip you can try is removing the lens, SD card, and battery, and waiting 30 seconds. After that, you'll want to put the SD card back in the camera first, then the battery, then a Canon lens if you have it. If this doesn't help either, you may want to send the camera in for repairs.
